OTHER FEES
Students are responsible for their primary books, fees for festivals, masterclasses, summer institutes, and other events alike.

NEW STUDENTS AND PARENTS

All new students and parents are welcomed for consultations and observations before registration. All new students and their parents are required to attend the orientation meeting before registration (a $85/hr fee is required for the teacher’s time).

PARENT PARTICIPATIONS
Parents, as “home teachers,” are an important part of the learning triangle (teacher-parent-student). Please attend lessons with students regularly and supervise daily home practices. Taking notes, and audio/video recording lessons are permitted and recommended to help both student and parent to recall the previous week’s lesson as well as the records of progress.

SUMMER LESSONS
Debbie Lee Piano Studio is a twelve-month, year-round program.  During the summer between June and August, there are summer institutes and programs students may attend. Please check with the teacher for a specific institute if a student is interested/qualified to participate.

ATTENDANCE & MISSED LESSONS
Students are expected to come to lessons well-prepared, having practiced and given their best effort to all instruction. Attitudes eager to learn are expected. Please be on time for your lesson, and tardiness to the lesson is a loss of instruction time. Cancellations by students should be notified to the teacher 24 hours prior to the lesson. Lessons missed by the student for any reason, including sickness, emergencies, and inclement weather, will not be made-up nor tuition refunded. All teacher absences or cancellations due to professional obligations and conferences, teacher illness, or emergencies, will be made up. Rescheduled lessons are arranged at a mutually convenient time for the student and the teacher.

ILLNESS POLICY
Please do not bring sick children to their lessons or arrive ill yourself. The online lesson option is available for sick days if the student desires.
Without 24-hour advance notice, missed lessons due to illness will not be made up nor credited.

HOLIDAYS

The studio is on break on national holidays, school spring break and winter break, and teacher conferences/training.
